Sealing of offices and other structures of some Non Governmental Organisations (NGO) operating in Maiduguri has been undergone by Borno state government without legal documents.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the offices were sealed by officials of Borno Geographic Information Service (BOGIS).
According to reports on Wednesday in Maiduguri, the Executive Secretary of BOGIS, Alhaji Adam Bababe, said so far, eight structures had been sealed in the exercise.
Bababe said the exercise was to ensure that all structures in Maiduguri were backed with the relevant legal documents.
He said there are 183 international and local NGOs operating in Borno, but so far only 21 have contacted BOGIS to perfect documents of the structures they occupy.
