The House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a budget of N21,827,188,747,391 for 2023. It marks an increase of N1,319,246,566,677 from the proposal sent to the House by President Muhammadu Buhari.   The President had in October transmitted a proposal of N20.5 trillion for the 2023 fiscal year.   The House also passed a supplementary budget of N819.5 billion for 2022. The House approved the extension of the implementation of the 2022 budget to March 31, 2023. The House adjourned to January 17, 2023. The Nation.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has accused the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke of misadventure, inappropriate uses of power and political victimisation against their members. According to APC, since November 27, 2022, when the new administration came on board, Osun has witnessed chains of incidents and unsavoury events. Labour Party (LP) chieftain, Doyin Okupe insists presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will win the 2023 election. The politician made an analysis on Tuesday in response to ThisDay Election Centre Projections. Okupe said the projections were “false, bogus and do not represent the actual situation on ground across the nation”. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of NNPC in the 2023 general elections has been trending for saying he doesn't bedwet and he is not a spare tyre.   Kwankwaso said in an interview with journalists in Katsina.   He said “I am a Doctor of Philosophy holder, unlike a secondary school certificate holder or diploma certificate holder.
